Services for students


students The Library of Parliament is a special library that offers students materials and information concerning jurisprudence, social and political science, the Parliament of Finland and other parliaments. This material is not available in such a broad scope elsewhere in Finland.

Anyone can obtain a library card by visiting the library. Users must abide by the library's Conditions of Use.

In addition to the library's collection and loan services, students can use the Reading Room. The library also has computer rooms with Internet connections. You can use your own laptop in the library. Vending machines are located in the Readers' Lounge.

The library has photocopiers that operate with the Helsinki University Press photocopying card. Cards can be purchased from a machine in the Readers' Lounge.

The library's Information Service answers questions concerning Parliament, jurisprudence and social and political science. The library's staff provide assistance in using the library.

The Library of Parliament arranges presentations and tours for student groups.
