Services for MPs, their assistants and parliamentary officials

MPs, their assistants and parliamentary officials are the Library of Parliament's key customers and all the library's services are provided to them free of charge and as quickly as possible.

Supporting MPs' work is the point of departure in selecting the library's materials. A broad range of literature and other materials is acquired for this purpose. Materials are also borrowed from other libraries in Finland and abroad.

MPs, their assistants and parliamentary officials can use the library's services in their offices. By using their laptops they can find out about new titles on the library's website or by ordering an e-mail list.

Archive information created in parliamentary work can be used in the Archive of Parliament, which operates in connection with the Library of Parliament.

The library's experts together with experts from Parliament's Research Service provide training in the use of online information sources.

The library also arranges tours for MPs' visitors and tells them about the library's services.
