Interlibrary loans for the Parliament and the researchers
The Interlibrary Loans Service orders materials that are not in the Library of Parliament's collections for certain library users. The Interlibrary Loans Service only orders materials for MPs, parliamentary staff and researchers in the fields of law and social and political science.Interlibrary loans are free. Paper copies cost 50 cents each. People working in Parliament and researchers in the library's specialist fields can request interlibrary loans on a form, by e-mail or fax. The Library of Parliament sends materials and copies from its own collections to other libraries in any country. It does not send materials or copies directly to individual customers.Most of the library's materials can be freely borrowed. Some materials are borrowed only to be used in the Reading Room.
