Self-service copying

The Library of Parliament features several photocopiers that work with a Helsinki University Press photocopying card. Printing from the customer computers takes place on these same photocopiers. Photocopying cards can be purchased for small change from the vending machine in the Readers’ Lounge. Helsinki University Press photocopying cards are also sold at several other locations around Helsinki.

The library staff will provide advice on using databases that relate to the Library’s fields of expertise. Software applications are used on a non-guided basis.


Reading and copying microfilms

The computer rooms located on the Service Floor contain equipment for reading microfilms and microfiche. It is also possible to make photocopies of microfilm and microfiche material on your own. The room can be reserved at the Reference and Archival Services Desk.

Scanning

A scanner for saving your own photos in digital form or texts in PDF files is connected to one of the Library's customer computers for customer use. The computer room in which the scanner is located can be reserved at the Reference and Archival Services Desk.

Note that printing at the Library of Parliament now takes place on photocopiers that require a Helsinki University Press photocopying card! The photocopying cards are available at the Library of Parliament for a fee.
