Parliamentary information


The Library of Parliament is Finland's central library for parliamentary information.

The library's collection includes
  • Finnish parliamentary documents or documents that are handled and produced in the course of parliamentary work

  • Parliamentary documents from other countries

  • Literature and other materials concerning the Parliament of Finland and its activities, parliaments in other countries, the history of parliaments, parliamentarism and representative democracy.
The Archive of Parliament operates in connection with the Library of Parliament. The Archive houses original documents dating back to 1863.

The library's staff provide assistance regarding parliamentary documents, literature and other materials.

The library arranges training in how to obtain information concerning parliamentary matters and documents.
