Activity

The activities of the Library of Parliament are regulated by the Act on the Library of Parliament and the Library’s rules of procedure. Additionally, the operations and development of activities are directed by the Board of the Library of Parliament. Executive powers rest with the Director of the Library of Parliament who implements the policies together with all the staff members. Once a year the Board issues a report on operations to Parliament.

Aside from its primary communications and library duties, the Library of Parliament organizes a range of events. Of these, the most important are various seminars held in collaboration with other actors. The Library also offers ample room for exhibitions that may be organized by the Library itself or produced by other parties.
